Character Study - Ryan McDermott

Ryan - tagged by Beth and Phoenix

Ryan gets up before dawn every day and runs on the beach. His daily workout includes weight training and tai chi. He rarely skips it.
He is fluent in 5 languages although he may not tell you what they are.
Ryan has tried not to let his strict and rigid upbringing dictate how he raises his son Riley. As he grows older, Ryan plans to instill the principles he learned as a SEAL just like he did with Rayne.
Although it is widely believed that the lifestyle of a bodyguard is exciting, their routine can be fairly mundane. However, Ryan found his role protecting Beth Stanfield as anything but.
Ryan requires very little sleep and averages maybe 4 - 5 hours a night.
If Landry had not died giving birth to Riley, Ryan might have eventually married her for the sake of his son. It would not have ended well.
Ryan is an excellent dancer. When he was young his mother taught him how to dance.
One of his deepest regrets involves the daughter of a diplomat he was extracting from a foreign country who was killed on Ryan's watch. It was either her or the man he was charged with protecting. Ryan chose his duty. Her eyes still haunt him.
Ryan actually has quite a sense of humor although he won't show it much. He can also kill with a single, lethal blow.
One day Ryan would like to purchase a boat and sail around the world, preferably with a beautiful woman and his son accompanying him. He no longer believes it will come to pass.

Character Study - Cadence Mitchell

This character study was requested by Muzegoddess and Dinuriel. I am not going to tag any more writers since I know this has gone around quite a bit.

Although Cadence is an accomplished pianist, she cannot carry a tune.
Cadence still has a very strained relationship with her mother and refuses to accept Danny as part of Peri's life. She does however adore her father's girlfriend, Camilla.
One of Cadie's prized possessions is a stuffed bunny given to her by Cooper Stanfield when she was very young.
Cadence has considered sleeping with other boys "just in case she's missing something". She has voiced this interest to Wyatt. He told Cade she wasn't missing anything; he was all she would ever need and then proceeded to prove it.
Although she is focusing on dance, Cadence has changed her mind at least 5 times about pursuing a career in it. Or any career.
Her middle name is Anne.
Cadence still believes in the idea of happily ever after.
Her favorite thing to do is dance on the beach at sunset when no one is watching. Considering how much she loves attention, it strikes her as a bit funny.
When she was a teenager, Cade wrecked the front fender of her Beetle when she hit a roadside divider. She was mortified since she snuck out without permission. Her brother Jett took responsibility instead.
Cadence does not think she is pretty. She believes her personality makes up for any physical flaws.

1. Melinda is very afraid that she will lose everything she worked for. Thanks to Deacon, she is coming close to that and growing more desperate.
2. After learning of Damian's death Melinda went home, put her daughter to bed, went up to her bedroom and wept uncontrollably.
3. Although she would vehemently deny it, Melinda harbors a deep desire to find someone who will love her.
4. She rarely dates and breaks off relationships when they become too serious. This is why she refuses to date Luke Slater (she likes him too much to lose his friendship)
5. Until her divorce, Melinda had never had sex with anyone other than Damian. Her first time after that was when she worked for Charmaine. She has since lost count.
6. Her daughter believes that Melinda owns a restaurant. She still doesn't know what she is going to tell Thalia when she is old enough to understand what Melinda does.
7. On one occasion Melinda got a little tipsy and spent the night counting the freckles on Ryan McDermott's face over and over (she kept losing track) while Damian was passed out on the couch.

Some of you will have seen this shot that I did for Beth's birthday and I have been meaning to put the photo shoot up here because I was so pleased with how they came out. My first attempt at really playing with Photoshop in awhile. These were my gift to Beth. With her permission I am sharing them here.

These were done using a white background (thank you again Phoenix!) and then manipulated. I like to think of them as my attempt at art.

See what I mean? I played around with some of these using in-game lighting and Photoshop. They turned out okay for a quick shoot. A couple of duplicates using different lighting.

At the age of 23, the ethereal Lyra is the newest addition to the ladies of Chameleon. This Georgia peach grew up in a small town just north of Tallahassee called Climax, population 297 by the last count. The daughter of a widowed Baptist minister, Lyra was crowned Miss Swine Time at the annual post Thanksgiving festival but a misunderstanding between one of the judges involving a greased pig, got Lyra disqualified. She left town after turning 18, emptying her meager savings, and never looked back. Lyra worked at Hooters in Clearwater and although her tips were good, she wasn't able to make the rent. A stripper as well as an escort, she eventually found her way to Chameleon. Don't let Lyra's doe-eyed innocence fool you; this girl is a favorite of the Chameleon clientele thanks to her excellent and unique brand of customer service.

The Life of Riley

I've been feeling pretty bad for poor Ryan these last several weeks. Poor guy just can't seem to catch a break. But he has an adorable baby boy who simply adores his daddy.

These shots are taken with the in-game camera so they aren't great in terms of quality. If I had known how much I was going to like them, I would have taken the time to do them right. I may come back and redo them in fact.

I loved this little toy and was pleasantly surprised when I found out they can be played with. I sure hope they can use them as toddlers. It would be a shame if only infants could play with them.

Ryan is a good father and he and Riley have done a fantastic job of bonding. Riley beams when he sees his father. Landry's mother comes over quite a bit to watch him as well.

Riley is a fairly happy little boy who gets a great deal of love. His toes are a particular favorite. I don't know if he puts his toes in his mouth more than most but it seems like it to me.

More toe chewing as you can see.

As you can see he has his mother's eyes. He may just grow up to look a lot like Landry although he does have Ryan's build. The telltale birthmark is there. No doubt he will be a fair redhead and I hope he inherits Ryan's freckles.

Poor little guy wore himself out.

Hailing from Vancouver, B.C. Rhapsody was drawn to musicians at a young age and followed many of the local Vancouver bands around. Versatile and free with her body, she was dubbed Rhapsody by one of the drummers she fancied and the name stuck. Rhapsody is the oldest of the ladies of Chameleon at the age of 27 and a favorite of the gentlemen who frequent it. Will enjoys football and baseball, in fact, he enjoys pretty much all sports and physical activity. He has a lot of his mother's looks but that body seems to be all Slim. You won't hear me complaining about that...or anyone else. He has his father's business sense too. Who knows...maybe he will end up managing Wyatt's band one day...

Growing up in San Francisco with her musician father and artist mother, Anna Lynn Prescott changed her name selecting Onyx after the veined gem with alternating layers of black and white. She struggled to live up to her family's expectations, although very adept at playing the violin, she detested it. Her art turned to the darker side favoring vampires and lusty works. An affair with a Gothic rock musician left her on the road with no money, only her creativity. Now at the age of 21, she has found a home at Chameleon.

She has been known to recite poetry as she seduces her clients and can be very unpredictable.

I cannot even begin to tell you how thrilled and surprised I was at the birth of a baby daughter. As you can see, both parents are already enamored.

Here is Randi cradled in the strong, protective arm of her father, Rafe.

Rafe is a doting father, just like he was with Nic. He loves bathing, feeding, and tucking in Randi.

As you can see she has inherited her father's coloring although she does not have the telltale birthmark so will likely inherit her mother's body shape. Randi seems to have her father's full mouth. I hope she retains that when she gets older.

Miranda pretty much has Rafe wrapped around her pinky already.

One of my absolute favorite shots. He is a proud father for sure.

Although her eyes are the same color as her mother, I think Randi will grow up to look a lot like her handsome dad. She seems to have that smile anyway.

And what was Nicky doing while his baby sister was being doted on?

Well that's better. For a moment I thought I was warping into the twilight zone or something.

Let's see what we have here...boobs? Check. Small waist? Check. Slim hips? Check. Not bad...not bad at all.

Why are you staring at me Wyatt? Do I have cake on my nose or something?

He's just staring because you grew into a real looker Cadie.
Really? Thanks Dad but you are a bit biased now aren't you?

As promised, we are all having a piece of Mom's awesome spice cake. I thought I'd be much too excited to eat but I devoured mine already. And Cooper is sitting across from me. *sigh*

Have you noticed how Wyatt keeps looking at me? I swear if one of my brothers put a stupid sign on my back, I will kill them. He looks like Cooper though don't you think?

I swear I could listen to Cooper talk all night. He has the best voice...

Well, all in all I think this day went fairly well. Thankfully, I'm looking pretty stylish more or less.

Of course Mom insists on the usual full body shot for the family photo album. I will say I grew up way better than my brothers did. They looked like dorks when they became teenagers.

And here we have the requisite shot on the floor by the brown loveseat. It's a tradition so who am I to say no?

And since I know you were wondering what Mom and Dad got me for my birthday, there it is. A brand new shiny blue VW Beetle. Are they the coolest parents or what? I told you my present would be better than my brothers'.

So I guess that's it! I'm going to put on some makeup with Mom and re-arrange my room. I got some great wall hangings from Beth and Cooper that I need to finish putting up too.

Bookends, and Morsels, and Cake...Oh My!

*sigh* So here we are trying to take a family picture of Daddy, Mommy, and me and so far it isn't going so well. Daddy is too far away and Mommy keeps looking away. Plus you're not close enough for a good picture.

That's better but...Wyatt you're going to walk in front of the camera!

*exasperated sigh* Never mind, I'll just get my brothers. They like to pose for pictures with me.

"No, we don't Cadie."
Move back Jason; you're in front of me and you're blocking my light...and don't forget to smile. You never smile.

"There...how's that?"
Still blocking my light Jason.
"Oh for the love of..."

Is he smiling Jett? I can't tell because he's blocking me.
"Just smile for shit's sake or we're never getting out of here."

*muttering quietly* Not very.

I know, I know...it looked like I was being mean to Beth...actually some more balloons popped and I had to plug my ears. I really don't like it when balloons pop.

This is it...candle time. And that means wish time! I think Mommy is trying to say something but I'm not listening because I am too busy looking at Cooper and thinking about my wish. "Would you like to join me at the table Cooper while I make a wish?"
"Uh, no Cadie I'll just watch from here. This is your day."

It's a very special day, cuz today is my birthday

And I'm finally going to be in a photo shoot or three.

Did you like my song? I made it up. And it really is my birthday today and Gayl promised that Cooper would be here to celebrate it. There are balloons all over the house. I don't like when they pop though and a whole bunch just popped over by the presents. Mommy said a bad word and then Daddy said a bad word too.

I'm going to be a teenager. I think that means we can start dating although my dad told me Cooper already has a wife but I think I remember something about he said he would be the prince and I would be the princess so my dad must be wrong.

Mommy told me to sit quiet while she makes all the food. I don't know why I can't go out and play until everyone gets here. I hardly ever get dirty. I would like to take these shoes off though. They're new. They hurt. I don't like shoes. Mommy says when I grow up I will like shoes.

I'm going to get a big present from Daddy and Mommy I think. My brothers got big presents when they grew up but I think mine will be bigger. I wonder what Cooper is going to get me... *gasping* That's the doorbell; everyone's here. Waiting...waiting...

I'm going to pretend I don't notice Cooper's here. "Hello Wyatt, did you come with my dear sweet brothers who were supposed to get me a present?"

"You did bring me a present, didn't you? Jason? Jett?"
"Of course we brought you presents, Half Punk."

"You know Cadie I think I can tell you're growing up already!"

"Pretty soon you're going to be this tall!"

"Is that so? Too bad...and I brought a whole bunch of gifts..."
